So long as you are ready to die for humanity, the life of your country is immortal.

* Who would not be that youth? What pity is it That we can die but once to save our country!
* From distant climes, o’er wide-spread seas we come, Though not with much eclat or beat of drum; True patriots all; for be it understood We left our country for our country’s good. No private views disgraced our generous zeal, What urged our travels was our country’s wealth.
* And bold and hard adventures t’ undertake, Leaving his country for his country’s sake.
